Deadly Currents by Elizabeth Goddard

Cressida Dane is in Hidden Bay for one reason only.  To finish the research her father started so she could finish his book.  She is warned several times to stop investigating.  That just fuels her curiosity all the more.  Not until someone tries to kill her doe she start to take notice of the threats.

Braden Sanders is a county detective. He's there for only one reason. To get his niece life saving treatments. Cressida and Braden work together to uncover the reason behind the attacks on her life.  

Sometimes the story is a little confusing with all that is going on.  I did catch on to most of the back story.  The book was full of mystery and intrigue.  It all came together at the end with questions answered.  Some of them were a little far fetched.  But over all it was a good mystery.
