A killer on Campus by Rhonda Starnes

Forensics photographer Jane Mason has been shot at twice in one night.  She also reopens cold cases and tries to solve them.  Her former childhood friend, Ridge Snyder and former Navy Seal, comes to her rescue.  Jane, Ridge and her brother were fast friends all through childhood.  Then the unthinkable happened and Jane's brother was killed on the battlefield and Ridge couldn't save him.  Jane blames him for convincing her brother to join the Navy with him.  The cold case Jane  opens is that of her aunt.  Someone doesn't want the case reopened.  They will do anything to stop her.  Ridge will do anything to protect Jane.  Even though he knows she holds him responsible for her brothers death.  I enjoyed listening to this book and recommend it.

Act of Valor by Dana Mentink

Violet Griffith works for the airlines as a TSA agent.  While checking in a flier she finds something suspicious and reports it to her supervisor.  He let the guy go through and tells her not to worry about it.  She can't let it go. So now someone is gunning for her. Violet's long time friend, Zach Jameson, is a K-9 officer.  He won't stand by and let anything happen to her.  He just lost his brother and is still reeling from that.  This the continuation of the True Blue K-9 Unit books. This is a great story. But I recommend reading the books in order to be able to completely understand the storyline.

Survival in the Mountains by Carrie Stuart Parks

Bethany has been pushed off the road and her car is on fire.  Enter undercover Fish and Game officer Joshua McGregor.  He pulls Bethany from the burning car.  Now they are running for their lives.  Bethany can only remember she was pushed off the road, but not why.  If Joshua helps her, his cover will be blown and years of hard work will be down the drain and he could lose his job.  But he can't let Bethany be killed on his watch.  As they dig into Bethany's past to discover why someone wants to kill her, they discover that there is no evidence that she has ever existed.

Joshua was dealing with personal loss and hiding away from the world.  But when Bethany needed his help he couldn't turn is back on her.

This was a great mystery that kept me reading.
