Double Indemnity by Robert Whitlow

This was an interesting book.  It centers around a lawyer, Liz, who is hired to check into what a woman would get if she would filed for divorce and a minister, Connor, who is doing marriage counseling for the same woman and her husband.  The woman is very demanding and manipulative.  Liz is just starting out and wants to do a good job.  Connor is very conscientious and tries to do everything the proper way.  When the book first starts out it didn't seem to me that he had a very close relationship to the Lord.  As the book progressed his eyes were opened to what a real relationship was.  He had a rough road along the way to that relationship.  Liz starts attending the church that Connor pastors and also wants to know more about the Lord.  The mystery was good.  I will say I figured out the who done it before the end of the book.  The down side of the book is that I found parts of the book to be rather boring.  Especially the parts where he was on a hike and the area was described in great detail.

I was given this book by Thomas Nelson Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.  I was not compensated in any way.
