Miss Daphne Beekman is a mystery writer by day, inquiry agent by night. As the list of suspects grows and sinister plots are directed Daphne's way as well, Herman and Daphne must determine who they can trust and if they can risk the greatest adventure of all: love.

My review:  Daphne is a famous mystery writer.  But nobody knows it's her because she writes under a mans name.  In this time of history women did NOT pursue a writing career.  Her landlady at the boarding house she lives in runs the Bleecker Street Inquiry Agency.  In a series of mishaps she is hired to find out who wants to kill Herman Henderson.  He is also a mystery writer.  Through a series of humorous events Daphne solves the case.  Of course we know that Herman and Daphne fall in love.  But the road to true love is sometimes rocky as they find out.

I recommend this book to everyone who likes a good mystery and love story with laughs along the way.  I was given this book by Bethany House Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.  I was not compensated in any.
