The Highland Heist by Pepper Basham

This is the continuation of the adventures of Lord Astley and his wife Grace.  Lord Astley surprises his wife with a visit to American to visit her family.  Upon arrive they discover her father is bankrupt and has sold the family estate.  They then travel to Grace's sisters house and discover brother-in-law sprawled on the floor in the foyer.  Dead.  And this is just the beginning.  

This is a fun filled mystery that I enjoyed reading very much.  This book did not disappoint.  Grace's penchant for mystery gets her in trouble again.

Out of Time by Irene Hannon

Cara Tucker is taking a sabbatical from her professorship at a remote estate to study journals written in a nearly forgotten dialect, paw paw French.  Someone does not want her unearthing things that are written in the journals.  

Sheriff Brad Adams has seen lots of this in the small community.  But not what's happening at the estate where Cara is staying.  

Cara and Brad are drawn to each other almost immediately.  As they explore their feelings for each other, they must first find out who is causing the strange things to happen.  Cara finding a dead body for one thing. 

This is an exciting book and I recommend you read.  It is a part of a series.  But it is not necessary to read the first two installments understand this book.  Although, they are just as good as this book.
