What a great book. It had me hooked from the very
beginning. This is an unusual book as it
spans several years. The details aren’t
explained so the reader isn’t bogged down with details. Leah is a police officer who kills her police
officer husband in self-defense. Many
people looked at her husband as the golden boy of the police force and didn’t
believe he was trying to kill her. She
is convicted of murder and sent to jail.
In the meantime, Officer Clint Tanner has seen the dark side of Leah’s
deceased husband, and believes in her innocence. While trying to find the evidence that will
exonerate Leah, he is threatened. This
is also Leah’s journey to meet God. She
is very angry with God for many reasons.
I recommend this book
to all who like a good mystery.
I was given this book by Tyndale House Publishers via NetGalley Publishing in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.
