Toward the Dawn by Mary Connealy

This is the second story in A Western Light Series. I recommend reading the first book in the series, Chasing the Horizon, before reading this book.

Kat and Sebastian can't wait to get out of the canyon where they were snowbound for months on end.  For it to be proper for them to travel together they got married at the first town they came to.  Sebastian is running from someone who wants him dead and Kat is running from her uncle who wants her back in the insane asylum so he can control her money.  This is a typical Mary Connealy book which I highly recommend.

Cold Case Tracker by Maggie Black

This book has a lot going for it.  It's fast paced with a lot of actions.  The abduction of a woman introduces us to the main characters of this book.  Jackson and Amy work together to find out what happened to Jackson's sister.  I recommend this book to all mystery fans.

Shielding the Innocent by Terri Reed

I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end.  There were lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing clear to the end.  Lots of fast paced action.  And of course the attraction between Paige and Lucas throughout the story. I've always enjoyed reading books by Teri Reed and this one did not disappoint.

Montana Abduction Rescue by Jodie Bailey

Ian Carpenter thought he was finally safe to leave witness protection.  He soon discovered he made a bad mistake.  He turns to Meadow Ames for help.  She was the US Marshall who was his contact while he was in witness protection.  His cousin is kidnapped by those who want revenge on Ian.

If you like a fast paced story with lots of action, this book is for  you.  Ian and Meadow dance around with their feelings for each other as the story progresses also.

Target Acquired by Lynette Eason

Kenzie King has finally got her dream job.  Tactical medic on a SWAT team.  Some of the team members don't think she belongs there.  One of their friends applied for the job and she got it.  Plus she's a woman. Cole Garrison is in charge of the SWAT team.  He has to be careful not to cross any lines as he has known Kenzie for a long time.  He also as feelings for her that he wants to hide.  Things get worse when someone keeps trying to kill Kenzie and it doesn't seem to matter who gets in the way.

I like the action and how Cole and Kenzie worked out their feelings for each other.  It kept me reading till the end.

Between the Sound and Sea by Amanda Cox

This was a story of redemption for both Joey and Finn.  Joey is running away from the bad name her hometown has associated with her and her dying business.  Finn is running away from past mistakes.  It also tells us about the history of WWII and how close the German U-boats were to the Eastern shores of our country.

Walt, Finn's grandfather, and Finn hire Joey to oversee the restoration of and old lighthouse on the Eastern shore.  Walt has a  connection with the lighthouse keepers daughter and wants it restored in her memory.  Finn is against the entire project to start with.  But he loves his grandfather and finally gives in.  There's a little mystery to this story.  This books was just an overall good book that I enjoyed reading.
